From diverse geographies, cultures, and time periods, artists have consistently created images, objects, and experiences that ask us to consider ourselves and the world around us from different perspectives. Visitors will encounter playful groupings that reveal how artists shape processes, materials, and forms into compelling and meaningful artworks. Organized by themes of portraiture and representation, views of the land and environment, and unexpected uses of imagery, ephemeral materials, and color, the exhibition prompts us to think about the objects in the collection as jumping off points for stories and conversations that foster a greater sense of connection among us.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-columns three-column-stack is-layout-flex wp-container-core-columns-is-layout-9d6595d7 wp-block-columns-is-layout-flex\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-column is-layout-flow wp-block-column-is-layout-flow\">\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\" data-gallery-name=\"\" data-modal-description=\"\" data-modal-title=\"\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1709\" height=\"2560\" data-full-size=\"https:\/\/portlandartmuseum.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/08\/Dinh-Le-Buddhas-and-Ankgor-Temple-scaled.jpg\" style=\"object-position:50% 50%;\" src=\"https:\/\/portlandartmuseum.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/08\/Dinh-Le-Buddhas-and-Ankgor-Temple-scaled.jpg\" alt=\"Woven chromogenic prints and linen tape on board.\" class=\"wp-image-6520\" srcset=\"https:\/\/portlandartmuseum.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/08\/Dinh-Le-Buddhas-and-Ankgor-Temple-scaled.jpg 1709w, https:\/\/portlandartmuseum.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/08\/Dinh-Le-Buddhas-and-Ankgor-Temple-467x700.jpg 467w, https:\/\/portlandartmuseum.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/08\/Dinh-Le-Buddhas-and-Ankgor-Temple-873x1308.jpg 873w, https:\/\/portlandartmuseum.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/08\/Dinh-Le-Buddhas-and-Ankgor-Temple-768x1150.jpg 768w, https:\/\/portlandartmuseum.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/08\/Dinh-Le-Buddhas-and-Ankgor-Temple-1026x1536.jpg 1026w, https:\/\/portlandartmuseum.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/08\/Dinh-Le-Buddhas-and-Ankgor-Temple-1367x2048.jpg 1367w, https:\/\/portlandartmuseum.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/08\/Dinh-Le-Buddhas-and-Ankgor-Temple-601x900.jpg 601w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1709px) 100vw, 1709px\" \/><figcaption class=\"wp-element-caption\">Dinh Q.
