Schnitzer<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Overview<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Anish Kapoor is one of the most significant contemporary artists working today, notably known for his large-scale sculptures, which include&nbsp;<em>Cloud Gate<\/em>&nbsp;(2004) in Chicago\u2019s Millennium Park, and&nbsp;<em>Orbit<\/em>&nbsp;(2012) in collaboration with Cecil Balmond in London\u2019s Olympic Park.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>Anish Kapoor: Prints from the Collection of Jordan D. Schnitzer<\/em>&nbsp;features 18 intensely colorful works that were produced by the artist at The Paragon Press, London, and Crown Point Press, San Francisco. Similar to his sculptural work, Kapoor\u2019s prints do not confront viewers with a narrative. Rather, it is a psychological experience of associations facilitated by color and positive and negative spaces.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Born in Bombay, India, in 1954, Kapoor eventually settled in England and studied at Hornsey College of Art and Chelsea School of Art, London. Kapoor represented Britain at the 44th Venice Biennale in 1990, and in 1991 received the Turner Prize at the Tate Gallery, London. He lives and works in London.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>Organized by the Portland Art Museum and curated by Brian Ferriso, The Marilyn H. and Dr. Robert B. These spaces range from 1 \u2013 4 hours and can be paid for using a credit card or the&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/parkingkitty.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Parking Kitty app<\/a>. There are also surface parking lots, and parking garages within 1 \u2013 4 blocks of the Museum. The closest surface lot is located at SW Main St. between SW 10th Ave. and Park Ave, and there are dedicated accessible and van accessible spaces. This lot accepts credit card or the&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/apps.apple.com\/us\/app\/reef-mobile-parking-made-easy\/id1502843483\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Reef app<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Public transit<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Getting to get to the Museum by public transportation is straightforward and economical.
